Contextual Help Touchpoints (announced 2019-01-10, release date to be announced)
The mt-f1=true URL query parameter that is included in Contextual Help Touchpoints page requests will be changed to mt-view=f1. Please contact the Support Team with any questions regarding this change.

TLS Security Update (announced 2019-02-28, release date to be announced)
To improve the security of Expert sites, HTTPS requests using the TLS 1.0 protocol to Expert servers will no longer be supported. TLS 1.1 and 1.2 will continue to be supported. All Expert supported operating systems and browsers will not be affected, however, older clients built using older versions of OpenSSL may be affected. Contact the Support Team with any questions regarding this change.

Semi Private Pages (announced 2019-04-18, Release 2019-05-02)
To improve the privacy of Expert articles, Pages with Semi-Private page privacy setting will no longer appear in the Page Footer Navigation area.

User Pages (announced 2019-04-25, Release 2019-05-02)
User pages will no longer be searchable through the Expert search engine.

Single Sign-On (announced 2019-04-25, Release 2019-05-02)
Expert sites that authenticate with Single Sign-On will no longer be able to modify users through the API. Users who do not sign in through Single Sign-On will not be affected. Please contact the Support Team with any questions regarding this change.

Expired SAML Certificate Validation Enforcement (announced 2019-03-07, released 2019-04-05)
Single Sign-On integration with expired SAML identity provider and service provider signing or encryption certificates will no longer allow authentication until valid certificates are provided. Contact the Support Team with any questions regarding this change.

Security HTTP Headers (announced 2019-02-21, released 2019-04-05)
To prevent public visitors from clickjacking, phishing, or fraud attempts, Expert will enable the X-Frame-Options HTTP header for sites that do not already have it enabled. This will disable the ability to iframe an Expert site into another web application. Contact the Support Team with any questions regarding this change.

Fixes

Restrict Access
Fixed incorrect translation issues with the Restrict Access page for sites translated to a non-English language.

Export
Fixed a formatting issue with the Export dialog when attempting to export pages larger than the limit.

Search Terms and Queries Report
Fixed an issue where the report would not load when attempting to return more than 10,000 results.

Image Dialog
Fixed an issue where the Image Properties dialog could not be opened for images attached only to a Draft page. This issue was limited to the current version of Expert.

Enhancements

Dashboard
Expert is continuously optimizing the product experience. With this release, we improved the organization of Dashboard pages to prepare for upcoming product enhancements, but no pages were removed. Changes include:

• Content Management is renamed to Content Tools
• Reports have been consolidated under Contribution Reports and Site Reports
• Pages previously under SEO, Branding, and Customization are now moved under Site Reports or Site Administration
• Some pages in the Dashboard have new or modified URLs (previous URLs redirect to new)

Fixed an issue where users with elevated permissions weren't able to create a page.

Fixed an issue where links could not be created using Internet Explorer 11.

Spring ‘19 Product Launch

Three solutions  are now available to configure for the current version of Expert. The Expert logo in the Control Panel will show Spring ‘19 if applicable to your Expert version.

Capture Manager

Capture Manager for Service Cloud
​​​​​Extend the same functionality from Capture Manager into your Salesforce Service Cloud interface. Through Capture Manager for Service Cloud, agents can capture or improve knowledge without leaving Salesforce.

OpenID Connect Ready
We now support OpenID Connect for Single Sign-On, enabling you to deliver personalized knowledge for your end users based on their customer profile.

Fixes

Dashboard
Fixed an issue where content on the Dashboard and some of its pages would be cut off at certain browser widths. This issue was limited to the current version of Expert.

Dashboard
Fixed an issue where a link to a deprecated page appeared in the Dashboard. This issue was limited to the current version of Expert.

Embedded Contextual Help
Fixed an issue where pages requiring scrolling displayed in Embedded Contextual Help would not properly scroll on iOS devices.

Embedded Videos
Fixed an issue where the page could not be saved after adding a video while using Internet Explorer. Release 2019-04-25

We updated the organization of TCS (legacy version) Reports page to match the recent update to our current Expert version Dashboard Site Reports page.
