Release 2024-05-30
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all Expert sites as of 5:19 PM (PST).
Fixes
Page attachments
Draft Contributors were able to see the Media Manager link next to files attached to a page. Because these users cannot use Media Manager, we have removed this option so they will not see it.
API permissions
Unseated users were able to access Page Properties using the API endpoint /@api/deki/pages/{id}/properties. We have removed this ability for unseated users to prevent security vulnerabilities.
Release 2024-05-23
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all Expert sites as of 12:04 PM (PST).
Fixes
UI
Draft Contributor users could see the option for "Move" under Page Options but could not click it, so we have removed that option for users who do not have permission to move pages.
Export
Export packages were being generated without the "relative" folder, and now the package contains the folder as expected.
Announcement
This week the following features will become generally available for all sites. Some features will be available automatically over the next few weeks, and others you should contact your CSM to have enabled.
Features automatically enabled for all customers:
- Search Recommendations: Search Recommendations will move from Control Panel to the Dashboard to improve UI and feature organization on your site.
- Schedule Publish: Streamline workflows and deliver content regardless of team availability, and without custom scripts. Especially useful for:
- Publishing periodic release notes
- Announcing major product updates
- Updating policy documentation as soon as the policy goes into effect
- Removing documentation during product or feature deprecations
- 3rd Party Cookies: As Google deprecates third-party cookies, Expert ensures your site maintains privacy compliance while delivering personalized content using Touchpoints and integrations.
Features that your CSM can help you set up:
- Analytics API: These endpoints return the same data as the Dashboard UI reports, letting you combine report data, or analyze report data with the BI tools you prefer.
- Custom Dictionary: Sites with Instant Translation can build a list of words to translate or not translate, to preserve tone / voice and branded terminology.
Release 2024-05-16
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all Expert sites as of 4:33 PM (PST).
Fixes
UI
Detailed view now displays articles in a single column view. Previously, articles were displayed in two columns, likely due to a change in a previous release.
Media Manager
The "References on Site" number now displays correctly. Previously, this number would only go up to 99 in both the UI and the Media Manager report on some sites, even if a file had been used more frequently.

Release 2024-05-09
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all Expert sites as of 2:42 PM (PST).
Fix
UI
The Media Manager link in the Attachments section is now hidden for users who are not Authors, Editors, or Admins because these users do not have access to Media Manager. Previously, clicking Media Manager as an unpermissioned user displayed an error message.
Release 2024-05-02
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all Expert sites as of 2:21 PM (PST).
Fixes
Instant Translation
After clicking a learning path title, the page maintains its translated content. Previously, on websites with instant translation enabled, selecting a non-English language and then clicking on the title of a learning path reverted the page to English, requiring users to reselect their preferred language for translation.
UI
Guide tabs are now spaced evenly. Previously, there was an extra space in the Guide tabs section, causing the columns to not be evenly spaced and creating empty space on the right side of the screen.
Media Manager
The Media namespace folder is now included within the Export package when the "Media" option is selected for an Export job. Previously, the Media collection was missing from the Export package on some sites.
