We recommend you address Category and Guide errors before sub-page errors to resolve structure issues from the top down.
Category errors
- Category under Guide
- Category under Topic
- Category under How-To
- Category under Reference
- Category under Unclassified
- Category under Custom
To resolve: Move the Category underneath the lowest-level Category within hierarchy.
Guide errors
Guide under Guide
Option 1: Move both Guides directly under the lowest-level Category to make Guides siblings.
Option 2: Change a lower-level Guide to an article:
If the Guide is a parent to other articles, the Guide should be made a Topic. Otherwise, it can be made any article type (Topic, How-to or Reference).
- Change page type from Guide to Topic, How-to, or Reference.
- Remove Guide DekiScript (Navigation widget).
Guide under Topic
Option 1: Change Guide to Topic
- Change page type from Guide to Topic.
- Remove Guide DekiScript (Navigation widget).
Option 2: Change Topic to Guide
- Change page type from Topic to Guide.
- Move both Guides to become children of the lowest level Category.
- Add Guide DekiScript to the new Guide. To do this, Add a DekiScript code block to the bottom of the Guide and add Navigation widget code.
Guide under How-To or Reference
- Change page type from Guide to Topic.
- Move the Topic underneath the closest Topic or Guide in its hierarchy.
- Remove Guide DekiScript.
Guide under Unclassified or Custom
- Change page type from Guide to Topic.
- Move Topic underneath the closest Topic or Guide in its hierarchy.
- Remove Guide DekiScript.
Topic errors
Topic under Category
Option 1: Change Topic to Guide
- Change page type from Topic to Guide.
- Add Guide DekiScript. Add a DekiScript code block to the bottom of the Guide and paste the navigation code.
Option 2: Move the Topic under nearest Guide within hierarchy
Topic under Topic
Option 1: Make the Topic pages siblings.
Option 2: Change the lower-level topic to a Reference or How-To page.
Topic under How-To or Reference
Option 1: Move the Topic under the nearest Guide or Topic.
Option 2: Change the How-to or Reference page type to Topic.
Topic under Unclassified or Custom
Option 1: Move the Topic under nearest Guide or Topic

Unclassified errors
Page has no page type
All pages on your site should include a page type association. If your page does not include a page type, expand Page settings and choose an option from the Page type menu.
Unclassified page not under Home page
Unclassified articles can only fall under a Category, and only if that Category is the Home page.
Option 1: Move Unclassified page underneath the Home page. The Home page must be classified as a Category.
Option 2: Classify the Unclassified page.
- Change page type from (not set) to the desired page type.
- Add appropriate DekiScript if the page is to be a Category or Guide.
- Add a DekiScript code block to the bottom of the Category and paste the navigation code block.
{Custom} page errors
If an error pertaining to a custom page type surfaces, the report will list the error by the name of the custom page type.

Option 1: Change the How-to page type to Topic.

Other errors
Page contains multiple page types
Sometimes a page will have multiple page types. To resolve this, change the page type classification to the desired type. If the classification is already correct, select an alternate page type, then re-select the correct page type.
