Controls the ability for users to access or contribute to a site
User types
Within Expert the user types include:
- Anonymous users: Can view public and permissioned content without logging in.
- Authenticated viewers, as part of the CX Suite License: Can access public content, and private content made available to them once they are logged in. These users are set up as Community Members.
- Seated users, licensed under EX Standard or EX Advanced: Internal user who can log in to the platform and contribute to the content based on their assigned role.
- EX Standard users: Can view content. These users can be set up as Community Members or Pro Member Viewers.
- EX Advanced users: Have all the capabilities of EX Standard users, with the added ability to create, edit, and manage content.
Seated users are assigned a role by a site administrator in the control panel and can be customized by granting special permissions on pages or entire sections.
For a Viewer to be able to edit or author content, they must first be assigned as a seated user and then assigned the appropriate contributor role, either through the Control Panel or your identity provider (IDP), depending on your configuration.
