September 2026 Releases
Release 2026-09-24
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all sites in all regions.
Fixes
SAML SSO cookies
Before, SAML sign-in could fail silently on sites using stricter cookie settings, since the temporary cookie used during the SAML handshake was not sent back on the IdP's final request. Now, that cookie is always sent correctly, so SAML SSO completes reliably regardless of the site's cookie configuration.
Editor text formatting
Previously, text pasted from Word or Google Docs could appear italicized when an author opened a page to edit it, even though the published page looked normal. Now, pasted text displays the same in the editor as it does on the published page.
Enhancements
OpenAPI / swagger endpoint access
Before, fetching the OpenAPI (swagger) document required logging in or supplying an API key, even on sites that had opted in to expose it. Now, sites with the OpenAPI endpoint enabled can fetch it without credentials. This makes it easier for integrations and documentation tools to consume the spec.
Retrieve page content in Markdown format
You can now return a rendered page as Markdown instead of HTML. This provides a machine-friendly format which makes reading your content easier for AI agents, RAG pipelines, and custom integrations because they do not have to strip the HTML before ingesting the article content.
Announcement
Upcoming features
We are excited to announce that the following features will be made generally available in November:
- Pinned Pages "most used" sorting option: In addition to sorting your pinned pages alphabetically or by when they were added, you will be able to sort pages by how often you use them. This makes your frequently accessed pages easier to get to.
- Custom CSS in the CRM Touchpoint: You will be able to customize your CRM Touchpoint without having to create a new Touchpoint. This helps maintain brand consistency, and achieves feature parity with other Touchpoints.
- Site-defined shortcuts in the Enhanced Editor: Site admins can pre-define up to 10 prompts, so every contributor gets consistent brand / formatting / structure instructions automatically instead of writing their own each time.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint: You can connect external AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or coding agents to your site through standard configuration instead of custom REST APIs. This lets the connected tool search, read, and draft content.
Release 2026-09-17
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all sites in all regions.
Fix
Control Panel
We identified edge cases that could cause the Deleted Pages listing in Control Panel to fail for an entire site, with no error shown. The deleted pages will now remain visible and restorable during these edge cases.
Enhancements
SSO IdP service management
Admins can now create and edit SAML and OpenID Connect (OIDC) identity provider services directly from the Dashboard, without filing a Support ticket or waiting on Professional Services to make the API call for them. The default provider is now selectable.
Self-service webhook management
Before, admins could only create, view, edit, or delete webhook subscriptions by calling the REST API because there was no UI. Now, admins can manage webhook subscriptions from a new page in the Dashboard.
Release 2026-09-10
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all US and CA sites. The release has not been deployed to EU and AU sites.
Fixes
Enhanced Editor tables
Before, a responsive table without headers displayed an empty, header-colored bar in mobile view. Now, tables without headings no longer show this blank header bar.
Pinned Pages in CRM Touchpoint
Previously, pinning or unpinning a page from a CRM Touchpoint's View tab did not update the Pinned tab until the Touchpoint was fully reloaded. Now, the Pinned tab updates immediately when a page is pinned or unpinned, with no reload required.
Enhancements
Batched permission checks during page rendering
Previously, DekiScript rendering checked page permissions one page at a time, which was inefficient on pages with large navigation trees. Now, permission checks for known page IDs are batched into a single query ahead of rendering, which reduces SQL query volume and render time on pages with deep navigation or many related pages.
Release 2026-09-03
This release is complete. The Release was deployed to all sites in all regions.
Enhancements
Page load speed
Pages that show a list of sub-pages now load faster. Instead of recalculating it on every view, NiCE KM caches the rendered sub-page listing and reuses it until: a child page is added, removed, reordered, or the page title / thumbnail changes. This improvement will be most noticeable on pages with many sub-pages.
View pages as Markdown
Pages can now be requested as raw Markdown via the URL. Reach out to us to enable this for your site.
Once the feature is enabled, add /@api/deki/pages/[page-number]/contents?format=markdown to the end of your site URL to return the page as Markdown instead of rendered HTML.
