Release 2016-11-03
Feature enhancements
- Editor and SCAYT upgrade
We have performed a minor upgrade to our editor. These changes include bug and security fixes as well as dictionary updates for the editor's SCAYT (spell check as you type) functionality.
Bug fixes
- Unpublish dialog
The confirmation dialog that appears when trying to unpublish a parent page that has published child pages will now close properly.
- Expert Paths in contextual help
The Expert Path progress bar and navigation elements are now displaying correctly in contextual help dialogs.
- Classifications visibility on search results
Anonymous and community members will no longer see classifications for article type and stage in search results.
Upcoming feature enhancements
- Attachment streaming
We are in the process of changing the way we stream attachments in Expert so we can increase the speed of serving them to our customers across the world. Current links to attachments will not require code changes on your part. In the coming weeks, we will be testing out this change internally and with a select group of beta testers. When we are finished testing, we will announce a release date and documentation that will explain the details of this new functionality.
- HelpRequest data
You may have heard about our HelpRequest improvement initiative, Customer Insights Powered by New Data, that we completed over the summer. HelpRequests are an atomic unit of help delivered to a user across multiple channels such as your success center (page views, searches, etc.) and in-product contextual help. Soon we will be providing the ability to download that improved HelpRequest data to help you gain even more insights into how your site is being used.
Release 2016-11-10
Bug fixes
- Table cell background colors
We fixed an issue where the background colors of table cells could not be changed in the editor.
- Navigation errors in the previous version of contextual help
The earlier version of our contextual help dialog had a regression where navigation controls and search queries were not working correctly in IE 11. Our current Touchpoint for contextual help was not affected. Learn more about the newest version of contextual help.
- Embedding multiple Ooyala videos
Discovered and fixed an issue where embedding multiple Ooyala videos prevented the editor from saving the page in certain browsers and operating systems.

There was an issue where the find and replace functionality in the editor was not removing the temporary styling used for word highlighting if the page was saved before the find and replace controls were closed.
- Encoding issue in revision history event
To improve readability, we fixed an issue where moving or copying page titles containing special characters were not displaying correctly as revision history events.
- Contextual help icon alignment on revision comparison pages
The contextual help link that appears on revision comparison pages required a slight adjustment after the "Return to..." link was added above the page title.
- Creating empty tags
We removed the ability to create empty tags in the classification manager and page settings.

Removing the responsive option from an image will now add back the default height and width as inline styles so the image does not appear to vanish.
