Notifications

The only type of notification that Expert generates is to notify users of a change on a subscribed page. 

Subscription notifications are triggered when a page is edited, deleted, published, or has had its access restricted. A notification is also sent when a tag is updated or a file has been added, updated or deleted.

Notifications are not sent to the subscriber when the subscriber is the one who edited the page.

Notification emails

Notifications are sent via an automated email from a "no-reply" address directed to the subscribed user's registered email for each page that has changes

Each notification email includes the following:

  • Page title and site name in the email subject
  • Link to page
  • Date, time, and username for the change
  • Details about the change, including any Edit Summary comments and highlighted content changes
  • Links to View page, Edit page, View complete diff, and View page history
  • Link to Manage your page subscription notifications

The time presented in the subscription email is based on your site's preferences. To change your site's time zone, contact Expert Support.
