Restore deleted files

Role required:
Expert archives deleted files and lets you restore them individually. The deleted files archive displays the file name, its original location, the date of deletion, and who deleted the file.

Restore files

  1. From the navigation bar, click Site tools > Control panel.
  2. Under Maintenance & History, select the Deleted Files links to view the deleted files archive.
  3. Check the checkbox next to the file to be restored and click Restore files.
  4. After the page loads, the deleted files should have been restored back to the original page.

If the original location is a deleted page, Expert will create a placeholder page in order to restore the file.

If you notice attachments are missing from this page they may have been manually deleted or the maximum number of archived attachments has been reached.
